Kawandi Magazine is an independent literary magazine dedicated to uplifting the musings and creations of Black writers and artists, especially that of emerging storytellers.

We seek to publish poetry, fiction, non-fiction, prose, and visual art that elucidate Black imaginaries in line with the Black literary radical tradition of our predecessors. We are eternally inspired by Black publishing before us and believe deeply in the liberatory potential of literature and the arts.
